I’m just coming off days of many plays of “Wavelength.” His performance at The Last Waltz is for the ages. Nice pick.
It’s forever fresh, eh? I never tire of it, or The Last Waltz . I’m not overly au fait with Wavelength so I’ll give it another spin. Fetching photo on the cover though.
Ah…..I have Wavelength live (at Kingdom Hall I think) on a cassette that my dad taped in 1979. It’s so good that I can’t throw it out even though I don’t have an old-fangled tape-playing machine on which to listen to it (what were they even called? Cassette-players).
Regarding Van, during the summertime in England I used to listen to Summertime In England a lot; it was hours long and quite ‘eccentric’ live… Haven’t heard it for about twenty years though… might be time to track it down.
Ah cassettes *lots of nostalgic reverie*. I, too, am going to Summertime in England. During my summers in England, I used to swear at the eager lawnmowing community.
